Walk into the Conscious Hotel Westerpark and the cafe announces itself immediately, a bubblegum-pink grab-and-go counter that makes no attempt to blend into the background. It's a deliberate statement, and it works. This is not a place trying to pass itself off as a serious third-wave coffee bar. It knows exactly what it is.
